Florence Pugh, who has earned an Academy Award nomination for her acting prowess, is taking on dual roles as both the producer and star of the forthcoming film adaptation of 'The Midnight Library', based on Matt Haig's bestselling novel. The film, directed by Garth Davis, will delve into the life of Nora Seed, a character who discovers the eponymous library that allows her to explore a multitude of different life paths.

Matt Haig, the author, is also onboard as an executive producer and has expressed his enthusiasm for the adaptation in a statement to Deadline. He praised the team involved, stating, 'I am so happy that Nora's story is in such great hands.' Meanwhile, Davis lauded Pugh for her 'magical' talent and expressed confidence in delivering a film special enough to do justice to Haig's 'iconic novel'.

The project is set to start pre-production in the fall. Florence Pugh, known for her roles in 'Little Women', 'Oppenheimer', and 'Dune', is slated to be seen later this year in high-profile projects such as 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Dune: Part Three'. Concurrently, Haig is gearing up for the release of 'The Midnight Train', a novel set to expand the universe of 'The Midnight Library'.
