Delhi Police Partners with NIELIT for Advanced Cybercrime Courses

Delhi Police joins forces with NIELIT to enhance its personnel's skills in handling cybercrimes. The collaboration involves specialized training in AI, cybersecurity, cyber forensics, and social media monitoring to tackle online threats and frauds.

In a move to bolster its fight against technology-driven crimes, Delhi Police has entered into an agreement with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT). This partnership aims to provide specialized courses to police personnel, focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Cyber Forensics, and Social Media Monitoring.

The Memorandum of Understanding, signed on Tuesday, is seen as a step towards modernizing policing techniques. It aims to enhance the force's ability to combat emerging challenges like online fraud, misinformation, identity theft, and digital exploitation. The agreement was signed in the presence of Police Commissioner Satish Golchha, Special CP Sanjay Kumar, and NIELIT Vice Chancellor Madan Mohan Tripathi.

NIELIT, which operates under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is renowned for its role in skill development and training in electronics and IT sectors. This collaboration marks a significant stride in equipping Delhi Police with advanced technological skills necessary for the 21st-century law enforcement challenges.
