The Last Kingdom Season 4 to show spoiling of Alfred, Uhtred’s relationship

Since the announcement of The Last Kingdom Season 4 in December 2018 via The Last Kingdom’s official Twitter page. The series is surely going to be again the popular historical fiction drama. After BBC America dropped out, Netflix produced Season 3.

Release date of The Last Kingdom Season 4 is not officially declared. Even it is quite to predict by looking at the release dates of the previous seasons as those were not released in a sequential order. However, it is believed that it will be released anytime or at least before the fourth quarter of 2019.

The Last Kingdom Season 4 is expected to show the relationship between Alfred and Uhtred turning sour. The new dynamics between the two must be enjoyed by the viewers. On the other hand, the fourth season will find a way for The Saxon Stories’ The Pagan Lord (published in 2013) and The Empty Throne (2014). These two novels featured the return of Aelfric as Uhtred once again claiming a stake of his ancestral land Bebbanburg. But since The Pagan Lord jumps a decade from 2011-published Death of Kings' events, we believe Uhtred to be seen between 40 and 50. Alexander Dreymon, who plays the role of Uhtred, is just 35-year old now. In that case, will they hoax the book timeline?

Characters such as Alexander Dreymon, David Dawson, Emily Cox and Ian Hart among many other actors will be seen playing the roles of Uhtred of Bebbanburg, King Alfred, Brida and Beocca respectively. However, the sad part is that our favourite Ragnar the Younger (played by Tobias Santelmann) won’t be seen in the plot of Season 4 as he was killed by Aethelwold (Harry McEntire).
