Eventfinda Stadium (formerly North Shore Events Centre) is returning as a venue for music with the band Slayer lighting up the stage at the stadium and bringing plenty of fans from not just the Auckland region but around the country to the North Shore.

The benefits to the region are twofold with the facility having a complete refit and being modernised and now used to a higher capacity which in turn means more use for the community and the flow for accommodation and businesses.

In the past, the stadium has hosted a wide range of concerts from Bob Dylan, Tom Jones, Moby, Pennywise, The Offspring, Incubus, Tool, Beastie Boys to Van Halen…..Now it’s time for the titans of thrash, Slayer who will be performing for a final hurrah in New Zealand on Friday, March 15 and they’re bringing metal kings, Anthrax along for the ride.

“It’s great to have Eventfinda Stadium ready to rock with its upgrades and with music returning to the Shore. It’s likely we’ll host around four concerts a year which works in nicely alongside our traditional community events, festivals, sports events and corporate events,” said Brain Blake, Eventfinda Stadium, CEO.

“Slayer is going to be great. From what we’ve been told the band is pumped for this concert and there’s a wide variety of Kiwis wanting to watch them play. Surprisingly, there’s a good number of people coming in from the South Island, which has benefits to the wider community. Eventfinda Stadium is Auckland’s original indoor stadium and fans of all events will notice a few adjusts around the venue. All tastes in the community will be catered for in 2019,” says Blake.

Storm the Gates Promotions Company who have brought Limp Bizkit, Sublime, Suicidal Tendencies, Pennywise to New Zealand over the last few years, is bringing the mighty Slayer and Anthrax to these shores, one of the Directors Paul Brommer can’t wait for them to get on stage

“This will be a show, unlike anything seen before. It’s a chance for Kiwi rock fans to salute their heroes in style.”

Eventfinda Stadium continues to be a centrepiece of the North Shore since its opening in 1992. The flexibility and size of the stadium continue to make the venue an ideal location for a wide variety of events as well as weekly sports leagues. A big advantage is the close to 800 carparks available and location to motorway access.
