Search giant Google is celebrating Rosy Afsari, Bangladeshi actress also known as Rosy Samad's 73rd birthday by dedicating a beautiful doodle to the magnificent lady. Rosy Afsari was awarded the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1975 for her role in the film Lathial.
Rosy Afsari started her career in 1964 through Eito Jibon film. Rosy appeared in over 200 Bengali films in her entire career she always played a positive sad role.
Rosy also acted in over 25 Urdu films. Some of her Urdu films were Jage Hua Savera and Punamki Raat. Rosy was first married to filmmaker Abdus Samad and later on, in the year 1981, she married filmmaker Malek Afsari.
Rosy Afsari died due to kidney failure on March 9, 2007, at Birdem Hospital, Dhaka.
