The annual Ghana World Music Festival 2019 is going to be a celebration of power of the Ghanaian music. As music is not just entertainment but unites people across all communities, this first annual festival is expected to bring harmony among the people and give a significant place of the Ghanaian artists and music among the hearts of music enthusiasts across the world.
The Ghana World Music Festival 2019 is supported and produced by numerous established organizations including Joy Prime TV, Multimedia, IAS Agency, Fantasy Dome, Year of Return Initiative, Ghana Tourism Development Company, Panafest Foundation and Ghana Tourism Authority. The event is slated to take place between August 2 and 4 at the Fantasy Dome Complex in the capital city, Accra.
The Ghana World Music Festival will feature national music and artists, including from various African countries, the Caribbean and the United States. A rich myriad of genres will be on display from R&B, Jazz, Reggae, Afrobeat and Highlife. The festival will serve as an anchor event to Panafest 2019, while continuing to support the mission of the Year of Return Initiative.

Thursday, August 1st: Deborah Cox kicks off the weekend with a panel discussion dedicated to empowering women in the arts. The launch event will take place at ACCRA at 6p – until 9pm
Saturday, 8/3 will feature international and local acts including Jamaica’s legendary Reggae Ambassadors, Third World, Irving Mayfield, Ernie Smith and Canadian/Guyanese, songstress and actress Deborah Cox, and headlining the evening, Ghana musical legend, Kojo Antwi
Sunday, 8/4 Ghana’s Reggae movement, Samini, and Ghana next superstars; Jupitar, Gasmilla, Lamisi.
