Pearson Season 1 episode 5 synopsis revealed, Bethany Joy talks more on Keri

Pearson Season 1 already had its premiere on July 17 with the episode titled 'The Alderman'. For those who are unaware, Pearson is a spin-off of the renowned show of the USA Network named Suits, which is currently airing Season 9. Suits has been running on the USA Network for the last 8 years.

Fans are happy to get Pearson Season 1 from the same creator Aaron Korsh who is the real person behind Suits and its success. The finale of Suits Season 9 will mark the end of the series but the extension is already observed in Pearson's first episode with Gina Torres playing the lead role as Jessica Pearson.

The backdoor of Pearson Season 1 was already opened on April 25, 2018. It started like Harvey from Suits series was enthused to assist Jessica in Chicago leaving Mike and Louis to deal with a lawsuit brought by former PSL partners and headed up by Stanley Gordon. Zane agreed to join Specter Litt as a name partner and brought enough of his senior partners to have a majority in any vote. Gordon then chose to drop his suit, but claimed they had not seen the last of him. Jessica resolved her issues in Chicago by agreeing to work for the mayor. Harvey returned to the New York in time for Mike and Rachel's nuptial. Rachel learnt that the offer to head up a victim-oriented legal firm in Seattle is real, causing her and Mike to move up their wedding date. Mike gave Harvey the news that he and Rachel were moving to Seattle.

Here's the synopsis of Pearson Season 1 episode 5 titled 'The Former City Attorney' – Keri's past comes back to haunt her; Yoli and Derrick give a CEO the Chicago tour.

In a recent conversation with Hollywood Life, Bethany Joy Lenz, who has joined Pearson Season 1 to play the role of Keri, talked about her excitement encircling her role in the series. "There were a few things that I was really excited about with this. The first one, in particular, was being on a show where I got to play a lawyer, but it's not a legal drama. It's actually a political thriller drama and it's so much more about the characters and the lives of the characters and what's going on in their inner lives than it is about the outside drama that's happening or the procedural element of it. And for me, I always said I never wanted to play a lawyer because I always thought that I would have to be on a procedural. So it was super appealing to me to be on a show where I get to play a lawyer, but it's not a legal show. It's actually about this incredibly complex woman who is great at her job and she's got a lot of layers," she said.

Bethany Joy Lenz also lauded her character Keri and said, "She's very multidimensional and troubled and grouchy, but she's also sexy and sweet and also has issues with her dad and her family and men, which is very realistic to me. That also felt rare. So, in particular, those are the things that really drew me to this character."

Pearson Season 1 episode 5 titled 'The Former City Attorney' will be aired on Wednesday, August 14 on the USA Network, while Suits Season 9 episode 5 titled 'If the Shoe Fits' will be aired on the same date. Stay tuned with Devdiscourse to get the latest update on the television series.
