The filming for Better Call Saul Season 5 is about to be completed, as recently hinted by the showrunner Peter Gould. But unfortunately, according to him, fans of Breaking Bad's spin-off prequel will have to wait for another year to see the complete transformation of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) into Saul Goodman. The imminent season may commence showing the final evolution of Jimmy into the character the fans met in the main Breaking Bad series.

For the viewers, who have missed Better Call Saul Season 4 episodes can watch now over Netflix. Some say Season 5 is going to end the series but we don't believe in this rumor. Yes, it's true Season 6 has not received any indication from AMC or the showrunners. But it seems clear that the writers are gradually getting closer to the endgame.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Gould said, "I don't know about the exact length of the journey, but I will say that for the first time, working on (Better Call Saul) Season 5, we started to get a feeling for how we were going to end all this and what the end might be. I will say that we frequently have ideas in advance and they don't end up happening, but I have a feeling in my gut that we have a much better idea of how this all ends, and it's not incredibly far away."

In a recent media conversation, Peter Gould revealed his faith on his team members to deliver a great tale for Season 5 of Better Call Saul. Earlier he disclosed how he needed to say very little to the writer and director Thomas Schnauz about episode 9. In a discussion with The Independent, Gould said that the series would have the same number of episodes as Breaking Bad (16 episodes equally divided in two parts) that completed after five seasons.

The viewers will get to see in the upcoming season how the relationship of Mike Ehrmantraut and Gus Fring got strained. Mike used to be Gus' most loyal guy and his right-hand in Breaking Bad. "They ended on a hard note … Certainly, things will be strained, and Mike hasn't given his allegiance over to Gus completely. There's going to be some moves that have to be made, some conversations between Mike and Gus that either repair, or don't repair, the relationship. That comes down to some moral questions that may come up between both of them about how can Mike ever work for Gus," Giancarlo Esposito detailed in a recent conversation with The Wrap.

Better Call Saul Season 5 doesn't have an official release date but it is expected to be premiered anytime in 2020.
