Sanjay Srivastava takes charge as Ahmedabad top cop

Sanjay Srivastava, a 1987 batch IPS officer, took charge as Ahmedabad police commissioner on Monday from Ashish Bhatia who has been elevated to the post of Gujarat DGP. Srivastava said containing the COVID-19 outbreak would be his top priority.

"The state health department, Ahmedabad municipal corporation and other agencies are trying their best to contain the outbreak. The new CP said cyber crimes, which are seeing a rise amid the pandemic, and safety of women, children and senior citizens will be high on the priority list.
