Injury roundup: Colts LT Castonzo, RB Mack inactive

Left tackle Anthony Castonzo and running back Marlon Mack are inactive for the Indianapolis Colts.

Castonzo, who battled a hamstring injury most of the month of August, attempted to practice with the team this week but was unable to pass a pregame test of the strained muscle.

Quarterback Andrew Luck is returning from a season-long absence behind a shaky offensive line against a defense known for its four-man pass rush.

Mack is also out with a hamstring injury. He also attempted to practice late in the week and work out before Sunday's opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen will play in Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

A team official told NFL Network on Sunday morning that Olsen is good to go. He was added to the injury report on Saturday and was listed as questionable with a back injury.

With the Panthers already thin at the position, losing Olsen likely would lead to major alterations in the team's game plan against the Cowboys, who visit Bank of America Stadium for the regular-season opener on Sunday.

Ian Thomas likely would get more reps if Olsen is limited by the injury.

Patriots rookie RB Michel out vs. Texans

First-round pick Sony Michel will not play against the Houston Texans.

Michel was limited this week in practice by a nagging knee injury.

Without Michel, Rex Burkhead is likely to play additional reps.

For the Texans, wide receiver Will Fuller is not playing in Week 1 because of a strained hamstring.
