Woman, 8-yr-old daughter consumes poisonous substance in UP

Bijnor (UP), Sep 13 (PTI) A woman and her eight-year-old daughter died after they allegedly consumed a poisonous substance, police said Thursday.

The incident took place Wednesday when Kusum (35) consumed the poisonous substance after giving it to her two daughters Khushi and Nishi (10).

They were rushed to a community health center (CHC) by neighbors.

Kusum's husband worked as a laborer and according to the locals, the family members were facing financial problems, the police said.

The bodies were sent for postmortem, they added.
