Mahabharata, Ramayana pilgrim centers to be renovated

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said Friday that his government will improve the infrastructure of 134 pilgrim centers located in five districts of the state.

These pilgrim centers are located in Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, and Jind.

He visited 13 pilgrim centers in Karnal district and announced development works amounting to about Rs 18.39 crore.

"Today is an important day in my life as I got the chance to visit pilgrimage sites mentioned in the Mahabharata," Khattar said.

Last year, about 24 lakh people from different states of the country and from abroad visited Brahmsarovar in Kurukshetra, according to an official statement issued here.
