Social media restricted in Senegal amid protests, says Netblocks

A range of social media and messaging platforms were restricted in Senegal late on Thursday, the Netblocks internet observatory said, after the sentencing of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko in a rape trial provoked protests and unrest.
