Russia's state nuclear energy company Rosatom said on Tuesday there was no threat to the Moscow-controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant after the nearby Nova Kakhovka dam was breached, state-owned news agency RIA reported.

The director of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, which Russia has held since March 2022, separately said that there was no risk to the facility's security in a statement on Telegram.
