Union Cabinet Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Chemicals and Fertilizers reportedly dies of Cancer in Bengaluru at the age of 59.
Shri Ananth Kumar was a member of the Parliament and National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was the member of 15th Lok Sabha representing the Bangalore South constituency of Karnataka and the quoted 'foundation stones' kept his success intact since the 10th Lok Sabha.
Ananth Kumar is survived by his wife Tejaswini and two daughters Aishwarya and Vijetha.
By representing the voice of the common people in Bangalore and Karnataka, he earned himself the distinction of being the default voice of Karnataka and Bangalore in Parliament.
Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted:
Deep sense of grief on hearing that Shri @AnanthKumar_BJP is no more with us. Served @BJP4India @BJP4Karnataka all along. Bengaluru was in his head and heart, always. May God give his family the strength to bear with this loss.
