India's Green Ammonia Bid: The Next Step in Clean Energy

The State-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) is inviting bids for the annual supply of 5.39 lakh metric tonnes of green ammonia. This initiative is part of the SIGHT Programme under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, targeting decarbonization and reducing fossil fuel dependence.

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a government-owned entity, has announced a call for bids to select ammonia producers for an annual supply of 5.39 lakh metric tonnes of green ammonia.

This initiative falls under the SIGHT Programme within the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM), aimed at promoting clean energy alternatives.

The process will involve e-bidding and an e-Reverse Auction to determine the producers. The produced green ammonia will be supplied to fertilizer companies, according to the SECI's statement.
