NABARD Expands Reach with Lady Officers Leading Rural Transformation

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has established offices in all 24 districts of Jharkhand, posting six women officers as District Development Managers. This initiative aims to drive inclusive growth and focus on specific challenges faced by women and children in rural areas.

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has significantly bolstered its presence in Jharkhand by opening new offices in Khunti, Pakur, and Latehar, thereby establishing a foothold in all 24 districts.

Aiming to spearhead rural development, NABARD’s strategy involves collaboration with financial institutions, state agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders. Notably, six women officers have been appointed as District Development Managers (DDMs), adding a unique, empathetic perspective to developmental work.

Chief General Manager S K Jahagirdar highlighted that these lady officers are attuned to the needs of women and children and will prioritize addressing their specific challenges. This transformative strategy is set to make sustainable and inclusive growth tangible across Jharkhand’s rural landscape.
