Around Rs 35 lakh was reportedly lost by a woman due to a stock market scam, as per the local police. Sakshi Jain, residing in DLF Phase 2, was deceived after receiving a call assuring substantial returns from stock market investments. Enthralled by the profits shown in her digital account, she continued investing a total of Rs 34.91 lakh from March 20 to May 13.

She reported the incident when her requests to withdraw the funds were met with further demands for additional investments. Realizing she had been scammed, Sakshi informed her husband, Ashish Gupta, marking the moment the fraud unfolded.

An FIR was promptly filed at the cyber crime east police station, and senior officials have confirmed an ongoing investigation into the matter.
