A heart-wrenching incident unfolded at Bhayandar railway station near Mumbai, where a father and son died by suicide, police reported. They lay down on the tracks hand-in-hand at approximately 10 am, only to be hit by an oncoming train.

The Vasai Railway Police, alerted to two bodies on the tracks, swiftly arrived on the scene. The police retrieved the bodies and have sent them for postmortem examination. The tragic event occurred a short distance from Platform 6, on the way toward Mira Road.

CCTV footage revealed that both men descended from the platform, walked along the tracks, and lay down as soon as the train approached. It was heading to Churchgate. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Preliminary investigations attribute the cause of the suicide to immense debt from substantial stock market losses. The deceased have been identified as Harish Mehta, a stock market worker, and his son, Jai Mehta, a DTP operator, both residents of Nala Sopara, Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, another disturbing incident from Madhya Pradesh saw a family of five allegedly die by suicide in the village Raudi, Alirajpur district. An SIT led by SDOP Jobat is probing the case. According to a social media post by Madhya Pradesh Police, a case has been registered, and investigations are underway.
