Uttarakhand Integrates eSwasthya Dham with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

Uttarakhand's eSwasthya Dham portal now integrates with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). This move aims to enhance health monitoring for Char Dham Yatra pilgrims. The portal generates Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) for better health management of pilgrims, especially senior citizens, in high-altitude regions.

In a significant development, Uttarakhand's eSwasthya Dham portal has been integrated with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), according to an official press release on Thursday. Launched as a central sector scheme in September 2021, ABDM seeks to create a unified digital health infrastructure across India.

The eSwasthya Dham portal is instrumental in monitoring the health parameters of pilgrims undertaking the Char Dham Yatra to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. One major benefit of this integration is the generation of Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA), enabling pilgrims to create their 14-digit ABHA number quickly and easily.

With an increasing number of pilgrims, the platform prioritizes their health for a safe journey, especially for senior citizens. The high-altitude locations of Char Dham shrines necessitate tracking health issues like heart diseases, hypertension, and respiratory ailments due to cold weather and low oxygen levels. Till now, over 65 crore ABHAs have been created nationwide, offering multiple benefits such as secure health record management and efficient healthcare service access.
