Third Suspect in Ludhiana Shiv Sena Leader Attack Arrested

Ludhiana Police have arrested the third suspect, Jaswinder Singh aka Sunny, in the attack on Shiv Sena leader Sandeep Thapar. Two other suspects, Sarabjit Singh and Harjot Singh, were already in custody. Thapar was attacked with a sword on July 6 and remains hospitalized.

In a significant breakthrough, Ludhiana Police arrested Jaswinder Singh, also known as Sunny, the third suspect in the attack on Shiv Sena leader Sandeep Thapar.

The police had previously apprehended Sarabjit Singh, aka Sabha, and Harjot Singh, aka Jota. Investigations revealed Sunny's involvement, leading to his arrest based on confidential information.

Sandeep Thapar was assaulted with a sword by three men on July 6. Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaskaran Singh Teja confirmed Thapar's ongoing treatment. A high-alert led to swift arrests of the initial suspects, with a scooty also recovered near the university area.
