Youth Attraction to RSS Ideology on the Rise

Large numbers of youths are joining RSS, with over one lakh new members annually. National publicity head Sunil Ambekar disclosed this during a recent meeting in Ranchi. They discussed organizational expansion and upcoming centenary celebrations. Ambekar also addressed concerns about religious conversions in Jharkhand.

Youths in significant numbers are increasingly gravitating towards the RSS ideology, contributing to its growing membership each year, said a senior official on Sunday.

Over one lakh youths join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) annually through the 'Join RSS' platform, according to Sunil Ambekar, the national publicity head.

Ambekar conveyed this information during a media briefing on the last day of a three-day conclave of 'Prant Pracharaks' held in Ranchi.

He revealed that a total of 66,529 individuals had joined the RSS by June this year.

The conclave covered topics including organizational growth and the imminent centennial celebrations.

When questioned about allegations of religious conversions in Jharkhand, Ambekar indicated that some individuals employ unethical methods, which the RSS condemns.

“There is legislation to counter this, and compliance is expected. The RSS has always opposed such practices,” he asserted.

Top RSS officials, including chief Mohan Bhagwat, general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, national executive members, and all prant pracharaks, were in attendance at the meeting.

Prant pracharaks, who are full-time workers, manage the operation across 46 organizational provinces.

The RSS is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025.
