The Prestige Falcon, a Comoros-flagged oil tanker, has capsized off the industrial port of Duqm, according to a statement from Oman's maritime security center on Tuesday.
Shipping data provided by LSEG revealed the tanker's destination was Aden in Yemen. The vessel, used for short coastal voyages, measures 117 meters in length and was built in 2007.
Omani authorities, in coordination with maritime agencies, have initiated a search-and-rescue mission at the accident site, as reported by Oman’s state news agency. The condition of the crew members remains unknown.
