Union Minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu has expressed profound sorrow over the demise of two soldiers from Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam, Rajesh and Jagadeeshwara Rao, who were killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. Naidu conveyed his condolences on social media platform X, emphasizing the soldiers' sacrifice and ensuring their bodies' honourable transfer to their homeland.

The encounter unfolded on Monday evening in the Desa Forest area, involving security forces and terrorists. Among the fallen were Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra, and Sepoy Ajay. The Indian Army, led by General Upendra Dwivedi, extended its deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased, reaffirming their support and commitment to peace in the region.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also mourned the loss, emphasizing ongoing counter-terrorism operations. He articulated the nation's solidarity with the bereaved families and commended the soldiers' bravery. The joint operation between the Indian Army and JK Police commenced based on specific intelligence inputs, leading to a heavy firefight on Monday night that claimed the lives of four soldiers. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi briefed Singh on the encounter on Tuesday.
