Maharashtra Police Engage Maoist Insurgents in Border Clash
A Maharashtra Police C-60 team clashed with Maoist insurgents in the Kanker border area. Sub-Inspector Satish Patil was injured and evacuated by helicopter. Security forces are now intensifying search operations.

On Wednesday, a confrontation erupted between the Maharashtra Police's elite C-60 unit and Maoist insurgents in the border forest area between Chhindbhatti and PV 82 in Kanker, Maharashtra.
The skirmish, which occurred between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm, resulted in Sub-Inspector Satish Patil being shot in the left shoulder.
Following the altercation, emergency evacuation procedures were activated to transport Sub-Inspector Patil to safety. At 4:07 pm, a helicopter dispatched from Thana Band airlifted him to Gadchiroli for urgent medical care.
In the wake of the clash, security forces have ramped up search operations in the area, keeping a vigilant watch on the evolving situation.
