Ahead of the upcoming Haryana assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party's Haryana unit president, Sushil Gupta, asserted that the people of the state are seeking leadership akin to Arvind Kejriwal's for 24-hour electricity and water supply, similar to Delhi. Gupta, speaking about the preparations, told ANI, 'The Aam Aadmi Party is preparing for 90 assembly seats, with preparations underway at every booth. The people of Haryana want Arvind Kejriwal...'

Gupta further emphasized that residents desire uninterrupted utilities, employment, and a reduction in drug abuse and crime. 'Haryana needs change,' he said. The Aam Aadmi Party announced its intent to contest the upcoming elections independently, having previously allied with the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticized both the Congress and AAP, labeling them as 'two sides of the same coin' and accusing them of spreading falsehoods. Saini expressed strong confidence in a BJP victory in the forthcoming state assembly elections. 'The BJP government will be formed for the third time in the state,' Saini declared. Haryana is one of eight states with legislative elections scheduled this year.

The state is currently governed by a coalition between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP). The Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 are expected to occur by October 2024, ahead of the current Assembly's term ending on November 3. The official election schedule is yet to be released. (ANI)
