The Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested a man for shooting at a woman in Jahangirpur. The video of the incident, which went viral on social media, shows the accused, Dabangg Munesh, shooting the woman in broad daylight because she could not repay her late husband's loan.
Munesh reportedly opened the door of the victim's house and fired at her with a pistol. Fortunately, the woman narrowly escaped the bullet. The victim's husband had passed away a year earlier, and the accused had been persistently pressuring her to settle the debt. The viral video also depicted the accused bullying the victim.
Circle Officer of Khurja, Varun Kumar, confirmed that a case has been lodged and that the accused has been apprehended. Investigations are ongoing. Kumar also stated that Munesh had fractured his left hand while trying to escape. "A case has been filed by the Jahangirpur Police Station, and the accused is under arrest. The investigations are on. The accused had fractured his left hand after he slipped while escaping," said Kumar.
In another incident on July 16, two individuals were apprehended in connection with the murder of a patient inside a ward at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) in Delhi. The police registered the case based on the statement of Tarranum Malik, who reported that her brother Riyazzudin was shot by an unknown person in Ward 24, where he was receiving treatment. Video footage showed four people entering the hospital's emergency gate.
