UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Promote Natural Farming in Lucknow

They discussed spreading awareness about natural farming and announced an upcoming state-level workshop that will gather scientists, farmers, and agricultural leaders.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chauhan joined forces to promote natural farming in a programme held on Friday in Lucknow. The Chief Minister emphasized efforts to inform the public and farmers about the certification process for natural farming products.

'We are leveraging agricultural institutions and Mandis to disseminate information on the certification process for natural farming products,' Adityanath stated. 'Instructions have been given to all six agricultural universities to enhance their certification labs,' he added.

Union Minister Chauhan highlighted that promoting natural farming is a key objective of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that an awareness campaign targeting farmers will soon be launched. Additionally, UP Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi announced a state-level natural farming workshop slated for July 20 at Acharya Narendra Dev Kumarganj University in Ayodhya, featuring experts, nodal officers, and farmers.
