AP Leadership Hails Union Budget 2024-25 for State Development

Andhra Pradesh leaders, including CM Chandrababu Naidu and MoS Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the supportive 2024-25 Union Budget. Notably, a Rs 15,000 crore allocation will fund crucial projects and address essential state needs.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP National President, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has conveyed his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the Union Budget 2024-25, which he says addresses the state's critical needs. Naidu hailed the budget for emphasizing major projects in Andhra Pradesh.

“On behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, I extend my gratitude to Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji and Finance Minister @nsitharaman Ji for recognizing our state's needs in the Union Budget. This support will significantly aid in rebuilding Andhra Pradesh,” said Naidu, commending the budget as a progressive and confidence-boosting financial plan.

MoS Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu also lauded the budget, thanking PM Modi for his commitment to Andhra Pradesh, a “no-capital state” for the past five years. He emphasized that the budget provisions prioritize job creation and industrial development. Meanwhile, opposition leaders argue that the budget allocations for Andhra Pradesh and Bihar are politically motivated to bolster BJP's government, which relies on TDP and JD(U) for stability.

The budget includes a critical allocation of Rs 15,000 crore for Andhra Pradesh, targeting the Polavaram project to ensure the state’s irrigation and food security. Finance Minister Sitharaman reaffirmed the Center’s dedication to fulfilling promises under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, allocating substantial financial support for ongoing and future state projects.
