Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal met with a delegation of women from Mumbai at Vanijya Bhawan in Delhi. He commended their experience, emphasizing the development of stations they witnessed during their travels.
Goyal explained that the women workers from North Mumbai had traveled to Mathura for Guru Purnima before visiting Delhi, where they marveled at the advancements under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. Calling their journey eye-opening, Goyal linked this progress to the Union Budget 2024-25, which aims to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.
In an interview with ANI, Goyal described the budget as innovative and inclusive, outlining a roadmap for rapid progress in India's 'Amrit Kal.' The budget focuses on nine central priorities, including skill development, employment initiatives, and infrastructure, designed to make India more competitive globally.
Goyal stressed the budget's transformational impact on various sectors. He highlighted the strategic focus on industries, internal trade, and exports, ensuring a dynamic economic environment. He praised the abolition of the angel tax, predicting it would boost the startup ecosystem by encouraging new investments and innovative ideas.
