Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday chaired a meeting focused on the Setu Commission's action plan at the Secretariat, instructing officials to draft an effective policy for the next two years. Dhami highlighted priorities like skill development and self-employment during the presentation by the State Institute for Empowering and Transforming Uttarakhand (SETU) Commission.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of retaining jobs within the state, urging the simplification of skill development schemes. He emphasized the necessity for the action plan to be visible on the ground within two years, calling for tailored development plans based on geographical conditions. Dhami stated the Setu Commission aims to create robust policies, balance development with environmental sustainability, and ensure effective scheme implementation.

Dhami directed that all departments should focus on result-oriented, good governance action plans, and the promotion of schemes through accessible mediums. He suggested creating a user-friendly application to inform the public about available schemes. Additionally, the Chief Minister urged the establishment of a state data ecosystem to facilitate scheme evaluation and departmental outcomes monitoring.
