The Mumbai Police have arrested six people in connection with the murder of a man following a clash between two groups in Chembur. According to the Mumbai RCF Police Station, the fight stemmed from an old rivalry, and the accused were intoxicated, with two having prior criminal records.
The victim, identified as Siddharth Kamble, 32, was attacked with a sharp weapon and succumbed to his injuries at Rajawadi Hospital. In a separate incident, a 30-year-old man named Hemant Kumar Rawal was rescued by Mumbai Police after being kidnapped for 12 hours due to a business dispute.
Rawal was found in Pune and three suspects—Kapooram Ghanchi, Prakash Pawar, and Ganesh Patra—have been arrested. Ghanchi allegedly conspired to kidnap Rawal over an unpaid debt of Rs 30 lakh. Additionally, Pune police reported that a 27-year-old woman was beaten by a car driver, an incident that has sparked outrage on social media after the victim posted a video seeking justice.
The woman alleged that the driver followed her for 2 kilometers before assaulting her, leaving her severely injured. The Chaturshrungi Police Station has arrested the driver and another woman, with charges under multiple sections of the BNS and Motor Vehicle Act. Investigations are ongoing.
