The NHRC, acting on a media report, highlighted the tragedy involving the 26-year-old aspirant preparing for civil services exams. The victim was electrocuted when he touched an iron gate positioned near an electric pole with exposed wires.

The Commission asserted that the incident appears to reflect severe negligence on the part of the authorities. The NHRC has given a two-week deadline for the report, seeking details on actions taken, compensation for the victim's family, and preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
