Hungary is seeking a solution to restore its oil supplies after Ukraine halted deliveries of the raw material from Russian group Lukoil, Gergely Gulyas, an aide to the Hungarian prime minister, said on Friday.

Gulyas explained that there are three potential solutions: the first is convincing Ukraine to reverse its decision, the second involves getting help from the European Commission, and the third is finding a legal loophole that permits the oil transfer by bypassing sanctions.

With oil supplies at stake for two EU countries, the urgency to address this issue is paramount, Gulyas emphasized.
