Three-Year-Old Girl Falls into Borewell in Madhya Pradesh

A three-year-old girl, Shoumya, accidentally slipped into an open borewell near a village in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday evening, police said.
According to inspector Shivpujan Mishra of Bargawan police station, Shoumya, daughter of Pintu Sahu, fell into the borewell while playing in a field around 5 pm. The borewell is more than 250-foot deep, Mishra confirmed over phone from the spot.
Rescue operations are underway to pull the girl out of the borewell. District authorities, including the district collector and superintendent of police, have reached the scene and are coordinating the rescue efforts along with local residents.
