The Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board has issued an order canceling the affiliation of 56 non-operational Madrasas in Sheopur district. This decision follows an inspection conducted by the District Education Officer (DEO), Sheopur, who found these institutions were not operational.

An official release on Tuesday stated that all District Education Officers across the state have been instructed to conduct physical inspections of Madrasas within their jurisdictions. Any Madrasa found not complying with state regulations is to have its affiliation status reviewed and potentially canceled.

The DEO Sheopur formed a verification team that examined 80 affiliated Madrasas, discovering that 56 were not operational. A proposal for their affiliation cancellation was submitted, leading to the Madarsa Board's order. Government assistance to these Madrasas will be halted, and steps will be taken to transfer affected students to other institutions.
