India's Grand Air Display: Exercise 'Tarang Shakti'

Exercise 'Tarang Shakti', India's largest multilateral air exercise, will showcase the nation’s defence capabilities and foster military interoperability. Split into two phases, this grand event in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan will feature India's advanced aircraft alongside international participants from nearly 30 countries.

Exercise 'Tarang Shakti', the largest multilateral air exercise in India, is set to demonstrate the country’s defence capabilities and serve as a platform for military interoperability. According to a senior Indian Air Force (IAF) official, the exercise will be held in two phases.

The first phase is scheduled at Sulur in Tamil Nadu from August 6-14, followed by the second phase in Rajasthan's Jodhpur from August 29-September 14. An invitation was extended to 51 countries, with nearly 30 confirming their participation.

The event will feature the Indian Air Force's LCA Tejas, Mirage 2000, and Rafale, among others. Air Marshal A P Singh, Vice Chief of the Air Staff, highlighted that this exercise not only showcases India’s defence prowess but also underscores the nation’s move towards 'Atmanirbharta' (self-reliance) in defence. Notable foreign participants include France's Rafale, Germany's Typhoon, and Australia's F-18s.
