New Appointments to CBDT: Ramesh Narain Parbat and Prabodh Seth Join Ranks

The Union government has appointed Ramesh Narain Parbat and Prabodh Seth as new members of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), effective from July 30. Both are from the 1989 batch of the Indian Revenue Service. Parbat will serve as Director General of I-T Investigations in Lucknow, and Seth as Chief Commissioner of I-T (International Taxation) in Delhi.

The Union government has bolstered the Central Board of Direct Taxes with two significant appointments.

Ramesh Narain Parbat and Prabodh Seth, both from the 1989 batch of the Indian Revenue Service, have been inducted into the board. authorized through an order issued by the Ministry of Finance on July 30.

Parbat, previously Director General of I-T Investigations in Lucknow, and Seth, previously Chief Commissioner of I-T (International Taxation) in Delhi, are expected to bring extensive experience to their new roles.
