BSE Market Cap Hits Record High Amid Four-Day Rally

The market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies surged to a record Rs 462.38 lakh crore on Wednesday, buoyed by a four-day rally in benchmark indices.

The 30-share BSE Sensex closed higher by 285.94 points or 0.35%, reaching an all-time high of 81,741.34. Over the past four trading sessions, the BSE benchmark rose by 408.62 points or 0.50%, increasing investor wealth by Rs 5.45 lakh crore.

Investor wealth grew by Rs 5,45,337.02 crore in four days, totaling a record Rs 4,62,38,008.35 crore (USD 5.52 trillion). V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services, praised Sebi's regulatory measures on Futures & Options trade, highlighting the benefits of curbing speculation for a healthier market.
