The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Himachal Pradesh has rolled out the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign to promote environmental awareness and commemorate historical landmarks. The initiative, endorsed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will involve planting 4 lakh trees at 8000 locations from August 1 to 15.

BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal emphasized the campaign’s dual objectives of environmental preservation and ensuring a sustainable future. Each booth in the state is tasked with planting 50 trees. State General Secretary Trilok Kapoor leads a dedicated team to oversee and ensure the campaign's success. Dr. Bindal called on all residents to actively participate and make this initiative a community-driven triumph.

Dr. Bindal also announced that August 14th will be commemorated as 'Partition Horror Day,' led by State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma, to educate future generations on the 1947 partition’s impact. Additionally, the BJP will celebrate 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan' on August 15 to encourage national pride by displaying the Indian flag. These initiatives highlight BJP's commitment to integrating environmental stewardship, historical remembrance, and national unity into their governance agenda in Himachal Pradesh.
