Four individuals lost their lives in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district on Friday morning after becoming unconscious due to a suspected poisonous gas leak inside a well, according to officials.

The tragic event occurred in Kurraha village, falling under the jurisdiction of Garhi Malhara police station. The deceased have been identified as Sheikh Altaf, Sheikh Aslam, Sheikh Wasir, and Munna Kushwaha, aged between 21 and 65.

Chhatarpur Superintendent of Police Agam Jain stated, "Our teams are on the spot, and all bodies have been sent for post-mortem. A case is being registered, and further investigation is ongoing." Preliminary reports suggest a poisonous gas leak as the cause, but the actual reason will be confirmed after post-mortem results.
