Top BSF Officials Repatriated, CRPF Gets New Special DG

BSF's DG Nitin Agarwal and Special DG Y.B. Khurania have been repatriated to their parent cadres in Kerala and Odisha. Amrit Mohan Prasad has been appointed as the new Special DG of CRPF. The decision followed recent infiltration reports from the Jammu border under BSF's control.

In a significant administrative shake-up, the central government has ordered the premature repatriation of BSF Director General Nitin Agarwal and Special Director General Y.B. Khurania to their parent cadres in Kerala and Odisha respectively, according to a report by ANI.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the Ministry of Home Affairs’ proposal for their immediate repatriation. This decision comes amid rising concerns over frequent infiltration incidents from the Jammu border, which is monitored by the BSF.

Concurrently, the government has sanctioned the appointment of Amrit Mohan Prasad as the Special Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Prasad will serve in this capacity till August 31, 2025, or until further orders, whichever comes first.
