Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Krishi Bank's new digital boardroom on Sunday, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and progress for marginalized sections of society. During his visit to Ahmedabad's Agriculture Bank, Patel launched the state-of-the-art boardroom, which boasts advanced remote-control capabilities and a digital screen, touting it as the first of its kind in India.
"The cooperation sector has been revitalized with the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperation in the Central Government under the stewardship of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. This sector is thriving with a focus on the most disadvantaged in society," Patel stated in a social media post. Emphasizing significant reforms in agriculture and cooperation spearheaded by Minister Amit Shah, Bank Chairman Dolarbhai Kotecha also expressed gratitude to Patel, reporting that the Bank's advanced interest waiver scheme has benefited 7,427 farmers in three years, totaling Rs 85.91 crore in waived interest, helping them achieve debt freedom.
The event began with Patel paying tribute to the statue of late Udaybhan Sinhji, the bank's founder chairman, and unveiling the boardroom plaque. A comprehensive presentation followed, detailing the bank's operations and the new boardroom's features, including a paperless meeting solution. The ceremony concluded with tree planting on the bank's premises as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event saw attendance from notable figures including Ellisbridge MLA Amit Shah and Gujarat State Cooperative Union Chairman Ghanshyam Amin, alongside other dignitaries and Agriculture Bank employees.
