Northeast Frontier Railway GM Reviews Key Developments at New Bongaigaon

Northeast Frontier Railway GM Chetan Kumar Shrivastava inspected various facilities at New Bongaigaon junction. Accompanied by senior officials, he reviewed workshops, crew lobbies, and training centers to ensure efficient and safe operations, reflecting the railway's commitment to modernization and passenger comfort.

The General Manager of the Northeast Frontier Railway, Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, conducted a comprehensive inspection at the New Bongaigaon junction railway workshop in Assam’s Bongaigaon on Wednesday. Senior officials, including Neeraj Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager of Rangiya, accompanied Shrivastava during his visit, according to a release by the Northeast Frontier Railway.

Shrivastava inspected the carriage and wagon repair shops, as well as various other facilities like the LHB component repair shop, LHB Bogie shop, Bearing shop, and Train lighting and Air Conditioning shop. He reviewed ongoing infrastructure upgrades aimed at enhancing the maintenance of rolling stocks and engaged in discussions on yard remodelling for improved marshalling operations.

The inspection continued to the supervisor's training center near the workshop, where Shrivastava assessed the training modules for staff who are crucial for safe train operations. Additionally, a visit to the crew lobby at New Bongaigaon station enabled him to check the amenities provided to Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots. Following the inspections, Shrivastava held a review meeting with workshop officials to discuss further developmental plans, underscoring the Northeast Frontier Railway's commitment to modernization and passenger safety.
