To preserve and promote the diverse cultural traditions, folk arts, and songs of rural and tribal areas, the Government of India has established seven Zonal Cultural Centres (ZCCs). These centres, headquartered in Patiala, Nagpur, Udaipur, Prayagraj, Kolkata, Dimapur, and Thanjavur, organize a wide range of cultural activities and programs across the country throughout the year. They receive annual grant-in-aid to support their initiatives.

The ZCCs implement several schemes designed to highlight and sustain vanishing cultural traditions, including:

Award to Young Talented Artistes: Recognizing emerging talent.

Guru Shishya Parampara: Preserving traditional teacher-student relationships.

Theatre Rejuvenation: Revitalizing theatrical traditions.

Research & Documentation: Documenting cultural heritage.

Shilpgram: Promoting craft and folk arts.

Octave: Showcasing diverse cultural expressions.

National Cultural Exchange Programme: Facilitating cultural exchanges across regions.

In addition, the Ministry of Culture's autonomous bodies, including the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Lalit Kala Akademi (LKA), and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), contribute to the preservation of cultural traditions through activities such as orientation courses, thematic workshops, and practical classes. They focus on Indian languages, tribal camps, research programs, and projects related to cultural heritage, music, dance, and art.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) supports the preservation and promotion of tribal culture through its Tribal Research Institutes (TRIs). Under the "Support to TRI(s)" scheme, MoTA provides financial assistance for projects aimed at preserving tribal heritage and practices. This includes research studies, publication of books, and audio-visual documentaries to capture and promote the rich tribal cultural heritage.

Although specific state or union territory allocations are not provided, the grant-in-aid to ZCCs ensures that cultural activities and programs are carried out across the country, including in Jharkhand.
