Mumbai's Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Sees Overwhelming Response from Women
A staggering 1,69,028 applications have been received from women in Mumbai for the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Out of these, 1,38,971 applications were deemed valid. The scheme aims to empower women by providing financial assistance, with 75 help centres established to support the application process.

A staggering 1,69,028 applications from women have flooded in for Mumbai's Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, according to an official statement on Thursday.
Of these, 1,38,971 were validated, Mumbai collector Sanjay Yadav reported. The enthusiastic response has led Yadav to encourage more women to apply for the financial aid scheme.
To facilitate the process, 75 help centres have been set up at the ward level. The applications are being scrutinized by civic and state government staff. The scheme offers Rs 1,500 monthly aid to women whose family income is less than 2.5 lakh annually.
