Devotees Flock to Temples in Uttar Pradesh to Celebrate Fourth Monday of Shravan
Thousands of devotees across Uttar Pradesh visited temples, including Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath and Ayodhya's Nageshwar Nath, to offer prayers to Lord Shiva on the fourth Monday of Shravan. The holy month is marked by worship, fasting, and pilgrimage as devotees seek Shiva's blessings.

On the fourth Monday of the holy month of Shravan, devotees in various cities across Uttar Pradesh flocked to temples to offer prayers to Lord Shiva. In Varanasi, the faithful gathered at the Kashi Vishwanath temple after bathing in the Ganga.
Praising the security arrangements at the temple, Shashank Shekar Tripathi from Baliya said, 'Security and management is very good here. We got to offer our prayers to Baba (Lord Shiva) with ease.'
Maruti Nandan, another devotee from Chnadoli, expressed his delight, 'Baba's view is wonderful, we are lucky to offer our prayers to Baba today.' Similarly, devotees gathered at Prayagraj's Mankameshwar Temple to offer water and flowers to Lord Shiva and pray for their well-being.
Shakuntla Gupta from Prayagraj commented after offering prayers, 'We offered water to the lord and prayed to god for our wellness.'
In Ayodhya, devotees visited the Nageshwar Nath Temple, with people from different places coming to the land of Rama to seek blessings. Similar scenes were observed in Kanpur and other cities as devotees celebrated the fourth Monday of Shravan.
The month of Shravan is dedicated to Lord Shiva, with devotees believing they receive numerous blessings during this period. Celebrated between July and August, Shravan is a time for worship, fasting, and pilgrimage. The month holds mythological significance as it commemorates the time when Lord Shiva consumed poison to save the universe, symbolizing his compassion and benevolence. (ANI)
