In a scathing critique, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad has lashed out at the opposition's handling of the Hindenburg report that implicates SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Buch. Prasad accused the Congress party and its allies of attempting to sow economic chaos and anarchy in India, stating, "In their zeal to oppose PM Narendra Modi, Congress is acting against the nation."
Prasad called attention to the Supreme Court's investigation of the report and SEBI's subsequent notice to Hindenburg, suggesting that the Congress and Hindenburg are colluding to destabilize the Indian financial system. "The Hindenburg report surfaced before the election and has now reappeared after the Congress lost. George Soros is anti-Indian and does not believe in Indian democracy. Congress is defending Hindenburg, a front for anti-India forces. We will expose Congress," he remarked.
On the other hand, SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch vehemently denied the allegations levied by Hindenburg, which claimed the couple had hidden stakes in obscure offshore entities linked to the Adani scandal. In a joint statement, they accused Hindenburg of character assassination, affirming that their finances are transparent and open for investigation by any authority. The dispute marks another chapter in the ongoing saga involving Hindenburg's previous allegations of financial malpractice against the Adani Group.
