Union Minister Highlights Vision for a Prosperous India Through Rural Development
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasized the importance of rural development for a prosperous India, under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. Addressing a meeting at the Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, he stressed the need for infrastructural and employment improvements by 2047.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has emphasized that a glorious, prosperous, and rich India is on the horizon under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at a meeting held at the Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Chouhan highlighted the institution's crucial role in rural development, stating that the vision is to build a developed India by 2047.
During an MoU signing event at the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) in Rangareddy, the Union Minister stressed that the idea of a developed India hinges on the development of its villages. 'Development is incomplete without the development of the villages,' he said. He further outlined that rural development includes infrastructural advancements and ensuring that no one in the village is poor, with everyone having employment.
Chouhan noted that in this era of urbanization, 70% of the population still resides in rural areas. He praised training courses in rural development management for their role in benefiting villages and, subsequently, the nation. He also mentioned a newly signed MoU with the Indian Institute of Public Administration as beneficial for this cause. Additionally, Chouhan discussed the Indian Council of Agricultural Research's development of 109 climate-adaptable seed varieties, aiming to improve farmer incomes and open new entrepreneurial opportunities.
