Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign by hoisting the tricolour at his official residence in Dehradun on Wednesday, ahead of Independence Day. Dhami also honored the victims of Partition on 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.'
'On Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, I pay tribute to the millions who endured the pain and hardships of Partition. In 1947, our country was divided based on religion, leading to the displacement of millions and the loss of thousands of lives,' stated Dhami in a post on X. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also hoisted the Tricolour at his residence in New Delhi as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated by hoisting the Tiranga at his residence in Lucknow and taking a selfie with the flag. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, alongside Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Kiren Rijiju, and Mansukh Mandaviya, flagged off a bike rally in New Delhi on Tuesday under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative.
Vice President Dhankhar stated that the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign symbolizes India's independence, pride, and commitment to a developed nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes in celebration of Independence Day.
During the 112th edition of 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, Prime Minister Modi urged all Indians to participate in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. Launched in 2021 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the initiative encourages people to hoist the Tiranga at home to instill patriotism and raise awareness about the national flag.
